Fleeing extreme poverty and hardship in her home country, a woman decides to cross the border in order to seek a better life for her and her daughter. However, the trip has terrible consequences that will change her life forever.

Yannick Nolin created Kinomada in Québec, Canada, in 2009. Since then, Kinomada has organized intensive filmmaking labs in more than ten countries, in each of which young filmmakers of different nationalities participate. His documentary short film 'Acadiana', co-directed with Guillaume Fournier and Samuel Matteau, was selected for Labo competition at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2019.
